Healthcare is complex and personal. The number of stakeholders continues to expand and so does federal and state government oversight. For over 20 years I have watched the evolution from passage of the Medicare Modernization Act to the Affordable Care Act. I was on the negotiating team on mental health parity in 2008, worked to successfully repeal the device tax, premium tax and the so called, "Cadillac Tax" under the ACA in 2019. I navigated legislation included in the Cures Act in 2016 to restore the Open Enrollment Period for Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage Plans to make a plan switch if the plan wasn't working for them. In 2015 I got Long-Term Care Partnerships passed to allow people to keep more of their assets and earlier in 2001 I got Congress to designate November as Long-Term Care Awareness month.

Today, I am embarking on a new venture to assist clients who face issues with government regulators or lawmakers with current laws or proposed legislation, that either negatively, or positively affects their interests.

I am available to take on lobbying or regulatory work, short term or longer term as needed. I hope I can be of service to you now or sometime in the future.
